Charity song from Milton Keynes aims for Christmas number 1!

Local singer/songwriter Ian Roberts has released a Christmas song raising money for Shelter and The Trussell Trust (the charity who look after most of the UK’s food banks).

The song and video is a collective work from so many people from Milton Keynes. Part of the track was recorded at Ousedale School in Newport Pagnell, with students involved in the engineering, playing of instruments and some of the backing vocals. The video is all down to Milton Keynes film-maker Frank Scarito and Olney director, David Pibworth. The video uses a wealth of local acting talent including Adam Croft in the lead role, Tony Fitch, Andrew Davis, Amanda Carter-Philpott and Naniene O’Donoghue-Roberts to name a few more!

It needs saying that everyone who worked on this project, worked for free, ensuring the biggest amount of money can be raised for the two great causes. I applaud you all!

Now what this project needs most is for people to know about it. If you can share the video and spread the word around Milton Keynes (and the whole planet) that would be an amazing way of helping! Don’t forget to use the hashtag #ChristmasNumber1.

If you can afford then please do buy the track. It has a great classic 70’s Christmas feel to it, it’s a real trip down nostalgia lane and I’m sure it will become part of your Christmas music collection for many years to come.

“Christmas at our House” is released on iTunes, Amazon & other digital outlets. So what are you waiting for? Get buying and let’s help bring awareness and help to those who need it most this Christmas.
