Shh! I know it’s November but some of the best Christmas events start this week across Milton Keynes and you don’t want to miss them!
Friday 15 November – Centre:MK
Where? Inside Centre:MK by the M&S Food Hall doors / Costa Coffee.
When? Starts at 5pm with Santas arrival.
What happens? Big man arrives and makes his way up Silbury Arcade to open the Grotto in Middleton Hall.
NOTES: Lee Mead from this years Panto at Milton Keynes Theatre will be there! (… oh yes he will!). 😍
Saturday 16 November – intu Milton Keynes / CMK
Where? Outside intu Milton Keynes in-between GAP and Hollister (the big outdoorsy bit near MKFM).
When? Starts at 4.15pm.
What happens? From 4.15pm it starts with an hour of live entertainment including the Salvation Army brass band and local singers, dancers and even Santa will stop by!
Switch on time approx. 5pm.
NOTES: Light switch on for CMK will include Christ the Cornerstone, Midsummer Boulevard and intu so be ready to see the city centre light up.
Saturday 23 November – Bletchley
Where? Queensway in Bletchley (the main high street covered in shops).
When? The Christmas Celebration is an all-day event from 12pm but the Christmas Light switch on will be at 5pm.
NOTES: Santa will be in his grotto for a visit from 12pm. There’s going to be rides, market stalls, a giant snow globe, an ice rink and tons more. Wowsers.
Saturday 23 November – Wolverton
Where? The Square, Wolverton
When? Event starts at 3pm and parade at 4.30pm
NOTES: This years theme is ‘Out of this World’ LOVE! Milton Keynes Community Choir will also be performing.
Saturday 30 November – Stony Stratford
Where? Market Square & High Street of Stony Stratford.
When? It’s a full day of fun starting from 11:45am but what you really don’t want to miss is the lantern procession at 4:15pm. Starting from York House on London Road, the lanterns make their way down to the High Street and into Market Square for the official light switch on at 5pm.
NOTES: There’s rides, a traditional fairground organ (The Plough end of the High Street, you won’t miss it, it’s loud!), dancers and market stalls.
Saturday 30 November – Newport Pagnell
Where? High Street, Newport Pagnell.
When? 5pm is the light switch.
NOTES: There’s a Christmas Fair at St Peter & Paul from 10am and finishing with carols after the light switch on. N’aww!
Saturday 7 December – Summerhayes, Great Linford
Where? Summerhayes is a road in Great Linford where everyone is decked out in the most beautiful Christmas lights. It’s so Christmassy and the best bit is they fundraise a huge amount of money for charity by doing so.
When? 6.30pm is the actual light switch on.
NOTES: Lights will be on at Summerhayes daily from 4:30 – 10:30 up to New Years Eve. It’s well worth a visit and bring your donations! There’s secure donation points there.
