Afternoon Tea in the City (Centre)
Browns in The Hub is a Brasserie & Bar that exudes style and refinement. A place where even the staff look the part in stylish suits and serving outfits.
To someone like me who loves nothing more than getting their teeth into a new chapter, turning over a new leaf and attempting something new. A new year is an extremely exciting time.
The ability to step forwards, away from the previous year with new knowledge, new experiences and new memories all under our belt. We can forget and learn from the trying times and reflect that in our life on this planet, we are very fortunate to get the opportunity to experience the twelve months of the year all over again but in a brand new kind of way.
Everyone will have things they are happy to put behind them and some things that they’ll be sad to say goodbye to. Maybe a year that held a precious memory, like the birth of a child or a wedding to our soul mate. Or a year that we said goodbye to a loved one, suffered an illness or lost a job. We either stick photos of these memories all over social media, scrapbooks or the photo frames around our homes or instead do our upmost to delete them from our brain. Occasionally we get upset when we suddenly struggle to recall a memory and feel like they’re lost forever (We are notching up some serious years on the tally now). Remember the memories never truly leave us. Our experiences, the highs as well as the trials and tribulations are what carve us out in the world. We are not the same person that we were sat a year ago on the 31st December 2014. Although, we are probably all doing the same exact thing, reflecting, trying to think up a New Year’s Resolution (one we promise ourselves that, this year, we will stick to).
So, 2016. You are nearly here. I’ve just kissed my one year old goodnight and whispered a very emotional farewell to a year which taught us both so much. My son learning to eat, walk and talk and me learning even more about patience, strength and understanding and all the things that we mums go through.
Now it’s time for my husband and I to have our quality time together. Toasting champagne and hoping for a healthy and happy 2016.
I hope whatever you’re doing tonight, you all have a wonderful time.
Happy New Year.
Alex Mytton, one of the biggest cast members of hugely popular reality series Made in Chelsea will be in Milton Keynes this Saturday night (19th).
Aside from starring in the show that follows the lives of extremely wealthy youngsters as they battle with life, love and how to spend their inheritance. Alex Mytton is also a DJ. The night from Pukka Up will have Alex spinning the decks at MK hotspot Wonderworld this Saturday night (and he’ll probably be spinning a tangled web around him, if he doesn’t keep in touch with his on-screen girlfriend, Nicola).
Although if the show is anything to go by, where Alex Mytton is found, the rest of the SW3 gang aren’t far behind. Will we be seeing Spencer Matthews or perhaps Binky sipping Champagne in Wonderworld this weekend? Will Jamie be chasing Jess for a kiss outside Xscape? Will the fabulous Mark-Francis and Victoria be sitting in judgement at our concrete cows? You’ll have to be there to find out!

Tonight, I was lucky enough to attend the opening of the brand new state-of-the-art 11 screen ODEON multiplex cinema in Milton Keynes including a custom designed IMAX. It is situated at the Milton Keynes Stadium MK1 Shopping & Leisure Park, nestled between the new strip of restaurants that also recently opened.
The night was opened by the Managing Director of Odeon UK and Ireland, Duncan Reynolds and the general manager of the cinema Stephen Shaw.
In addition to the normal champagne and cinema food style canapés, a few well known companies had pop up stands for guests to enjoy. Including Pepsi who would take your photo and print it onto your very own Pepsi MAX bottle to take away as a souvenir. Magnum ice cream also was there offering guests to design their own Magnum from scratch. Mine was dipped in Magnum milk chocolate, drizzled with white chocolate and decorated with dark chocolate curls and raspberry sherbet. Amazing!
The main event was being the very first people to take a seat infront of the IMAX screen and the only people in the UK to watch the latest episodes from Game Of Thrones. ‘The Watchers on the Wall’ and season four finale ‘The Children’ on IMAX. On each of our seats was an exclusive Game Of Thrones poster, popcorn, chocolate, sweets and drinks. I have to admit, I couldn’t even think about eating or drinking. The battle at Castle Black on such a platform was jaw dropping and I am now anxiously waiting to watch Season Five which starts on Sky Atlantic on Monday 13th April.
Many people are quite sad in Milton Keynes thinking about cinemas today as, in line with this opening the ODEON at The Point multiplex in Central Milton Keynes closed it’s doors for the last time and will open the path for redevelopement. However, whatever you may think about that, this new cinema, which is out of the hustle of CMK and without the traffic and parking charges is going to be a welcome addition to what entertainment and leisure is on offer in MK.
